A questionable spiritual quest
I am born in India. Fairly well settled for indian standards.
Often I inquire into life, self, and beyond. I am convinced of non-dual vedanta but I am no where closer to its realization. Nor am I able to lead a life of detachment .
But why do I want to achieve realization of the self ?
Just because I am hunger-free and settled with basic comforts I am able to think beyond. What about my fellow brethern who are starving of hunger or struggling for personal safety in their countries?
If I were born in Ghana or Afghanistan, where thousands die in conflicts every year or if I were born in some poor tribal areas in my own country where even one square meal a day is denied to millions...Will i have the mind to think beyond the stomach ...leave alone the self
